Dermal Fillers are hyaluronic acid injectable gels; a naturally occurring substance in the skin used to smooth away facial lines, wrinkles & to add or restore volume.
At Alexis Aesthetics we only use premium quality dermal fillers to ensure we can smooth, fill, and plump out your wrinkles, fine lines and creases. As we age, our skin loses its elasticity. This can also mean that the skin may also lose volume and begin to sag. This can cause one to look older. To help eliminate this; we can inject dermal fillers to make your features look more plump and fuller to give you a youthful and natural appearance. Dermal fillers are made up of hyaluronic acid, which helps you to temporarily smooth skin and fill minor skin irregularities.

A face to face consultation will be received, where we will discuss your concerns and expected outcomes We will then discuss the type of fillers; how much filler will be needed to treat the area and the expectations of the procedure. We will then move on to the procedure this where numbing cream will be applied to the area for 15 minutes. Then a precise and skilful injection is done using a tiny and fine needle. The treatment should take approximately 30 mins-1hr and you will be able to see the enhanced volume and definition.Dermal fillers are made up of hyaluronic acid, which helps you to temporarily smooth skin and fill minor skin irregularities.
Results are instant and will show straight away, you will be able to resume your normal day-to-day activities immediately post treatment.
All associated risks and side effects will be discussed during your consultation. Generally, there is no down time and you will be able to carry on with you day.
Some risks include:
- Swelling (this can be around and at the injection site, this is normal. This is generally more severe when lips have been injected.)
- Bruising
- Tenderness
- Firmness, lumps and bumps
The results last between 4-9 months depending on the type of filler used, your metabolism, skin type, thickness of filler and area. In regard to areas, lip fillers tend to break down slightly faster, lasting between 3-6 months.
