Frequently asked questions

These questions cover common points about consultation suitability treatment experience and aftercare at Alexis Aesthetics. They are a guide and do not replace a personalised consultation.

Alexis Aesthetics provides injectable facial aesthetic treatments including anti wrinkle injections dermal fillers skin boosters and fat dissolving for small stubborn areas. Treatment plans are tailored after consultation and may involve one or several techniques depending on your starting point and goals.

The process always starts with consultation. During this appointment you can explain what bothers you and what you hope to change. The practitioner will examine your face and skin, explain what is realistic and make recommendations. Sometimes the best plan is a combination of treatments, sometimes it is a single focused procedure and occasionally treatment is not recommended at all.

A referral is not usually required for aesthetic treatments. However if you have an existing medical condition are under the care of a specialist or take certain medicines the clinic may request information or ask you to discuss treatment with your usual doctor first so that everyone involved can work safely.

Alexis Aesthetics does not provide injectable aesthetic treatments for anyone under 18. If a younger person is seeking help with skin concerns such as acne or scarring the clinic can suggest speaking with a GP or dermatologist so that medical options can be explored.

A first consultation and treatment appointment usually lasts between forty five and sixty minutes depending on the area and the level of discussion needed. Review appointments are often shorter. You will be advised at booking if more time is required for a complex plan.

The number of sessions depends on your starting point, the treatment type and how subtle or noticeable you want the change to be. Some clients have a single treatment and review while others prefer a staged approach over months. Skin boosters and fat dissolving often involve a short course of sessions with planned maintenance. An outline plan will be discussed at consultation and reviewed regularly.

Results vary from person to person depending on facial structure, skin quality, age and lifestyle. Alexis Aesthetics aims for subtle refreshed changes rather than dramatic transformation. The clinic does not guarantee specific outcomes and avoids using heavily edited photos. Instead clear objectives are agreed at the start and results are reviewed together with photographs and follow up.

All injectable treatments carry risks. Common side effects include redness swelling bruising tenderness and temporary asymmetry. More serious risks such as infection, delayed reactions or vascular compromise are rare but important to understand. These are discussed in detail at consultation and written information and emergency contact details are provided so that you know what to do if something does not feel right.

The clinic works with adults who would like structured thoughtful support with facial aesthetics. This includes people who are completely new to treatment and those who have had procedures elsewhere but now want a more conservative or considered approach. Care is tailored to the individual rather than a one size fits all package.
